>The water leak on Clayton & Ayers in Concord has been repaired.
Jennifer Allen with the Contra Costa Water District says “the leak was on a two-inch service line. In the location where the leak happened, crews were unable to isolate the leak using nearby valves, which required excavation to access the main under Clayton Rd. When doing an excavation, other utilities are called to the site to locate their facilities to ensure we safely dig around them. Once those locates were done, crews were able to excavate to access the main to shut that service line down for repair. While this repair took a bit longer than usual with the unanticipated excavation, no customers were without water service.”
The leak first started very on Saturday, and was repaired by Sunday afternoon.
