Many of you were wondering what was happening on the corner of Ayers & Clayton Road on Friday afternoon. A couple of police patrol vehicles were on scene, as well as a couple of SUV’s and a trailer.
According to the Concord Police Department, the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) was set up in the empty lot on that corner sponsoring a voluntary driver survey that looks at driving habits.
Police say the surveys are completely voluntary and are being conducted by a private contractor hired by OTS. Police personnel were present only to help protect the survey takers.
The surveys will also take place at various locations around Concord on Saturday.
