The power is out in parts of Downtown Concord.
The outage began just before 10:30pm, and was apparently caused by a bad underground electrical vault on Grant St. in Concord.
The power also went out at the Concord Police station on Galindo. ConFire responded to the PD to rescue a person from an elevator, which lost power while the city employee was inside.
Traffic signals are flashing red at Concord Blvd. at Clayton Way and Concord Blvd. at Farm Bureau. You must treat those as a four-way stop. Please use caution while driving in the area.
UPDATE: PG&E says the estimated time of restoration is 2am on Tuesday, although some power has already been restored.
