Mail delivery is always a hot topic, but lately, it seems to be getting hotter.
Check out this email that came in from an anonymous Claycordian.
I live in the Monte Gardens neighborhood in the City of Concord and have had years of good service from the post office, but within the last eight months or so their service has really gone downhill.
I hardly ever see the same mail carrier twice anymore. Some days I get no mail while other days I get 2 or more carriers delivering to my home, including mail not addressed to my house. I’ve had two packages in the last two weeks lost. On both days I was home and watched the mail truck pull away from my mailbox and was outside at my mailbox in less than a minute.
When I called the post office to report the missing packages, they tell me that the carrier has confirmed delivery and that I’m out of luck. Between the two packages, I’m out over a hundred bucks.
I’m at the point now where I will never have anything shipped to my house via the postal service again. Is anyone else in Claycord having similar problems?
